An old beautiful French violin I got in France from a violin private collector, with its original label inside and iron mark. Nicolaus Amatus Cremonen Hieronymi Filae Antonij Nepos fecit 1659 and an iron mark on the back top button.
This violin is a superb example of the French early-20th century Mirecourt production, it shows in the early 1900's catalog of the Jérome Thibouville Lamy workshop, known as JTL in Mirecourt; very nice varnish patina, typical of the French violins. Is in a pristine condition, soundpost is in place, pegs are adjusted, it just needs all the playing fittings as usual. The wood is beautiful, very nice arching too as I tried to picture! A VERY GOOD and AUTHENTIC FRENCH VIOLIN! Body back length: 35,9 cm.Please look over the photos attached and feel welcome to ask for MORE D. Please note that I tried to photograph the items as honestly as possible. Don't miss this unique opportunity to own an old superb French violin for a decent price!
