Ascribed to Giuseppe Guarneri'filius Andreae' , labeled J oseph Guarnerius Filius Andreae Fecit/Cremone Sub Titulo S. Teresie 1712 and stamped M941 at the end of the Hill & Sons fingerboard.
This is the Hill & Sons archive number that matches the certificate to the violin. The M941 stamp on the bass side edge of the fingerboard (see photo) is the key and lock so that there is no mis-match of violin and certificate.

The two-piece back of medium curl, the ribs of faint medium curl, the later scroll attributed to Georges Chanot of narrow curl, the varnish of a golden orange brown to reddish color, length of two-piece back 359 mm. The violin was recently serviced (July 2020): new bridge, new nut, two seams glued, and light polish.Hill & Sons, London, December 2, 1949, with annotation dated February 2nd, 1977 by Desmond Hill. Hill & Sons, London December 30th 1949, giving the provenance of the violin. Hill and Alfred Ebsworth Hill wrote the 1930's classic. Who better to certify a Guarneri violin than Hill & Sons in the first-half of the 20th century. Condition : There are no sound post or bass bar cracks on this violin although there have been many repairs.
As stated in the certificate, the violin is in a fine state of preservation. You may speak with James Banicki (jamesbanickiviolins dot com) who did the latest set up and minor repairs.
