Fine Antique Half Size French Violin
This beautiful little violin would suit a talented child. Made in about 1900, it is a French violin made by the Thibouville Lamy workshops near Paris. It carries a supplier's label on the inner back "EJ Frankland".
The back measures 30 cm excluding the button. It should suit a child aged 7 to 10 years. Apart from the usual scuffs and scratches in keeping with its age, the violin has no damage or repaired cracks. It makes an excellent sound and as an experienced retired violin teacher, I have used this violin in my teaching for many years.It has good Dominant strings and is ready to play.
