Martin Antique Mandolin Circa 1915 Untouched All Original. Based on the shown serial number of 4525 stamped inside and C. Martin's website build date search tool, this fine instrument was hand-crafted in early 1915 as the 63rd of 305 built that year.

According to a well respected local Luthier who examined this mandolin personally, this instrument is all original and has never been worked on or repaired. The Rosewood body has a Herringbone Inlay down the centerline of the flat back and around the perimeter of the fancy oval sound hole on the front, as well as an inlaid tortoise shell strum guard. The ivory bridge is also original.

The tailpiece is original with Mother of Pearl inlays, ivory top bridge, and the machine heads and ivory pegs are all original. All in all, this more than 107 yr old instrument is in amazingly great condition and will produce some of the sweetest mandolin notes ever heard for another century to come.
