So it is quite bright yet shows such lovely grains at every angle it is viewed.The fine workmanship immediately promises a wonderful sound and tones to be played and heard. The maple back is made with mild curls yet is finished to let you know you are still playing a beautifully varnished Viola. The finish is a fine understated antiqued finish clearly done to a high standard by the maker. The join down the finger board and sides around the neck is seamless.
