The piece is made for 16 strings. It does need one string replaced as it is broken. According to my research, it was distributed in the early 1920's by the Bosstone Co. It is in very good condition for the age. There are no broken or missing pieces other than the one string.
There are no cracks or splits in the wooden case. The finish has a nice wrinkled surface. This is probably the original varnish finish.
The original distributors stickers are still attached on the inside. It measures 27 5/8' long x 7 5/8" wide x 2 1/2" tall. There are a few light scrapes and rubs in the surface finish, but nothing to bad. Please view all the photos as they are part of the description. Good luck and thanks for looking.
