The violin needs a new set of strings and to be played in. As a result this video is to give you an idea for the sound and tone quality, however does not represent its full potential.

This violin has taken me through my conservatoire studies and although it doesn't have a reputable label it should not be disregarded by its name. It has a beautiful deep lower range and has a well balanced tone across the instrument as well as in higher positions on the lower strings. It is a beautiful violin and I have had many wonderful experiences playing it throughout my conservatoire education, please do get in touch if you would like to know more or have any questions. Label reads: MADE BY Robert Gladstone 12 Maiden Street, Scotswood Newcastle on Tyne August 28, 1879 Certificate of Authentication (2013); A back of narrow flame sycamore with matching ribs, neck and scroll. The table of medium grain spruce and varnish antique red-brown.
