Vintage chrome String 4 string Tuner, Vintage chrome Mute, Vintage Tuning Fork, Plus its Original Old Stylish Baroque Bridge. Has a very very old label, "[Pictured]" other than the name Jacobus Stainer, I cannot quite make out what its date says, "also has a blurred marking further inside a, c or b, c maybe an old restorers mark".
Also has an old'Stainer' lettered burnt press mark on the Back plate at the bass of the Neck. I bought this from a house sale a while back and have restored it.
Apparently it had been kept unused in storage in a cellar for over 60 years. Its original condition was very worn and scratched, and it showed signs of a previous old restoration work a very long time ago under the scratched worn surface. Its previous restoration had a worn-in grain look bevelling on the grain lines. Luckily it had no cracks or chips, just waring and tiny minor wood dents. It has been given an 18thcentury style staining [colours used on Stainer's, and style] and a cleaning up and styling of the grain bevelling giving it a very unique look all of its own.Cleaned up all the Original pieces that came with it, the Two Bows/ Tail / Fingerboard/ tail pin and Pegs. Makes a loud deep mellow sound with no scratching, Baring in mind Stainers are originally used for Baroque because of the Unique Sculpted carving styling of a Stainer creating a much larger internal body chamber. "Surprisingly it does not produce any scratchy sound even when trying too", as you would only expect from a very good Advanced level violin. Any questions please message me.
